I agree with you wholeheartedly about SATC movie, everyone i know who saw it loved it but i hated it (and i was a HUGE fan of the show!) It just rubbed me the wrong way and you are right, men were all portrayed as being dishonest and the way she took him back at the end after he ditched her at the altar was just nothing short of pathetic. I hear they're doing a sequel to this movie, makes me shake my head at what they can possibly come up with. They should just leave it well enough alone. Sad thing is, i know i will be too curious not to see it, cuz i loved the show so much and i know the sequel will probably be even worse than the first movie but i'll still see it. And that's exactly the contradiction that made that movie the crapload of money it did and the reason why they are making another one. Blah :(
In this respect, i think He's Just Not That Into you was much more entertaining. It also portrayed a couple of guys as dishonest and a lot of reviews said that it portrayed the women even worse than SATC did! But i dont know, a lot of it resonated with some of our real life relationship and dating experiences and because all the bling of SATC was taken out of it, that really brought it down on a real level. I thought it was light years better than SATC movie.
