OK.... I don't mind it if the Rangers want to bring in bad guys to help them win, but how do bad guys who suck help them??? I mean, don't get me wrong, it will be cool that next time Everett wants to accuse the team of being racists, he will be right in at least one case.
Come to think of it, mayhap Hart thinks that once things turn sour next year, he can get more fans into the park in hopes that they will get to see Everett and Rocker fight to the death.
What kills me is that there is a chance that some time next year, I am going to have to cheer the succes of someone I detest.
I guess we have all had to deal with that unstable conundrum, having to balance hatred for one person with love for a team. I know I faced that when Deion was a Cowboy and he sickened me much more so than RocKKKer, which is really saying something.
Who knows, maybe I will come around on him. I never did with Deion, but that was Deion.
One explanation I can not wait for is, why didn't the Rangers just wait a week? The Indians were certainly not going to offer Rocker arbitration, so he would have been free for anyone that wanted him. And, even though he has sucked in the last year, his #'s are puffy enough to where he will probably get some decent money in arbitration.
And, like Tim Crabtree last year, the Rangers will just fall in love with that arm and anoint Rocker the closer, thus screwing Zimmerman out of therole he earned last year.
