>I have not used nail Envy, but one thing to be careful about nail strengtheners is if you use them constantly, you will dry out the nail and it will start to break again.
Nail strengtheners work by pulling moisture out of a nail. That might work great in the beginning, but eventually it pulls out too much moisture and the nail breaks. You will see the nails grow for several weeks and then all of the sudden the reverse and go back to breaking and peeling like they did before. That is a sign you have used too much.
People think you want a nail so strong it won't bend. WRONG. You want a nail that bends enough so when you hit it, it will bend and not break.
You should use a strengthener until the nail gets into shape, or the peeling stops. Then find a maintenance balance that works for you. Everyone is an individual because there are so many different kinds of nails.
Dry Nail: Does not bend, breaks at the stress line (free edge). Needs lots of moisture. If you have dry cuticles, then you will have a dry nail. Do not use a strengthener on these nails.
Normal nails: Very seldom seen. Are strong and have flex. Cuticles are not dry.
Weak bendy nails: Bend very easily. They have too much moisture in them and polish will not stay on these nails more than a couple of days. These nails definitely need
a strengthener. These nails will never be strong to the point they don't bend, but you can strengthen them to get them to grow some and get the polish to stay on.
We can stimulate nails to grow faster, but not thicker. You are born with your nails because they are largely hereditary.
However, too much strengthener will cause them to break at the stress line. I found with the strengthener I use I can put a coat a day on the nails for about 2-4 weeks. Then maintenance is one coat every 2-4 weeks. Everybody is different and some experimentation will have to be done to find your maintenance level.
