Subject: Down cocking

In an earlier thread, Doug had mentioned how he was trying to stop the club after impact (truly Not CG)...I was interested and so today at the range I tried to get a rhythm that would allow me to stop as soon as possible and still have some omph...
It turned out to be a down cocking motion that actually had me facing the ball at impact with very solid impact and a consistent ball flight... This move has been discussed before as pertaining to Moe, but I've never heard anybody say it was an important aspect of moegolf...after today I think it might be The thing, using proper SA grip and setup...many years ago I tried to do this whip thing but couldn't with any consistency...the SA setup makes it possible and I imagine, preferable...I did move a little farther from the ball... (I've been getting IMAish and this is definitely moeish)

Any feedback would be appreciated...hardpan
