My goal is to have a consistent, repeatable swing that I can use TODAY to improve my scores and gain more enjoyment from the game of golf. To that end I have been working for over 2 years to come up with the simplest basics of the golf swing that work for me, then use them as a foundation. When I first read about NG, Jack, and Moe, it seemed exactly what I was looking for.

I don't have the time or commitment to hit all the balls that Moe hit in order to ingrain his swing if it requires me to incorporate motions that I know right now I can't repeat consistently. There are many aspects of his swing that I CAN repeat. If I suddently hit the lottery, or some previously unknown relative dies and leaves me a fortune so that I can retire in comfort and send my daughter to college, then maybe I can make the commitment to be Moe.

Until then, I have to be me -- trying to improve my golf swing while at the same time living a normal life with a job, family, and other personal commitments. I rarely get to the range twice a week, and I often go a month without hitting the range. In a good month I get on the course once a week or more, in a normal month I play once or twice, or less. Most of my golf "practice" is pretend -- indoor "playing" with a club or two, or any long stick (eg, a broom or andiron) just to see what happens when I make certain motions and to remember my tempo.
