It's an important and difficult question, how can more than one religious group be correct, if they all say they are the only one. I have two things to say in reference to that, Serp.
#1) They don't all say that. Certainly there are adherents of each of the living traditions that believe this. But there is good support in Budhist and Hindu scriptures for the possibility of more than one path leading to salvation/liberation.
And Christianity certainly has some telling remarks. Consider the following:
Jesus praises the faith of a roman centurion, clearly not a Christian or Jew. He tells said centurion his son is healed.
The only people Jesus promises salvation to, in the whole of the cannonical gospels, are the criminals he is crucified with.
Jesus hung out with tax collecters (who would have been seen as race traitors) and prostitutes.
At the very least, Jesus was highly disinterested in labels, and the in crowd.

#2) Suppose a man held up a store full of people. When the police later take the report, they won't say "There must have been no theif" if the descriptions differ. They will place significance on elements which crop up frequently in these descriptions. I submit the following crop up frequently in religions:
a) The golden rule.
b) the transformative power of truth.
c)the ease with which the world might delude us.
