Political correctness?

35,000 Hispanics searched, and 300 arrests, probably fewer convictions for anything serious.

What about the 34,700 other Hispanics' right to be secure in their persons, homes, personal effects, and papers without being publicly humiliated on the side of the highway? What about the right to be treated as an individual? When did individual rights become a matter of "political correctness?"

Maybe random searches themselves shouldn't be policy. Maybe you should have probable cause first. That's certainly what the Fourth Amendment says. Maybe we should rewrite the Constitution post 9/11?
