Subject: HIP (lets get some debate started!)

The topic of this thread will be "Hidden Initial Placement" that is first introduced by rule 42 and SL Scenario #4. [This rule is not covered in TTS until a partial usage (planned for) Zeta-3.]

THE BIG ISSUE: If your force is permitted to use HIP, can you make a case for not necessarily using it for all of your forces?

I'd say that it is a reasonable tactic to consider an initial deployment with some of your forces deployed in view of the approaching enemy.

What do you say? And why?

Do you think that not using HIP makes your position weaker?
