Subject: insanity(TM) Vs half baked idiocracy
In reply to: Ratbat 's message, "Re: Who's the madder?" on 02:23:14 07/01/00 Sat

I tend to agree with ratti that there is a definite difference between this jerk's behavioural affectation and something more like the real deal. If insanity(TM) is a desirable state, then this boy sounds like the cheap Korean knock-off. - more *stupid* than *mad*, but more than likely maddeningly stupid.

More to the point, *why* does he find this behavioural pattern desirable?

Perhaps it is us - or people like us - who look at our own behaviour and recognise the weirdness it actually exhibits. We are not crazy, mad or insane in the medical sense of the word, but our difference is often expressed in these terms due to exaggerations characteristic of this type of alternative existance.

But we are happy...
(aren't we?)

And perhaps that is what this boy seeks - an excuse for extravogance he thinks will make him happy. But the superficiality of his *mad face* simply makes him shallow and unpopular.

Crazy boy, if you are out there - be yourself. You might actually find something interesting there.

People are far more interesting when they are 'in-sane', functioning within the realms of their own rational intellect but with recourse to the absurd, fun and vulgar worlds we deal in and create for ourselves - Or as our esteemed colleague once put it - occupying that unique space between an open mind and supreme moral corruption.

Live well my friends and cherish that which comes naturally to us. (But remember that cherishing too much makes your hands sore (^_-)) We are the lucky few who value our individuality more than we work on it.

luv
s.
