Hazel gaze lingered on the two blonde guests seated at the bar’s counter. She’d noticed the slight start, if that’s what one could call it; from Eric when she’d approached but she’d never have guessed it’s reason. She was use to the dead, undead, and mythical creatures Cascade had become home to, but it was rare to see someone once human turned…though she had seen it once before, recently. The thick accented voice would make many a woman’s knees weak, and it had if she could recall, but for her it was a simple brush of air from something past. ”Thank you, Eric. You look handsome as ever.” She said this honestly and with a lack of flattery before shaking her head slowly the Texan twang slipping out as she admitted her surprise. ”Just been a year for seeing ghosts is all, a lot of familiar faces coming back that I never thought I’d see again.” Smiling she gave them both a nod and moved away so they could both continue to drink in silence. Pocketing the bills placed for their drinks and dropping one in the tip jar she’d split with Craig once they shut down.

So won't you smile for me my Texas Angel, It'll be alright.
You just lay your head beside me and dream of me tonight.
And I promise I'll watch over you till' the morning light.
Well, I'm headed back to the west coast, lookin' for my soul.
Tryin' to mend the pieces that shattered years before.
And the ocean takes my pain away, as it comes rollin' ashore.
So, if you see me walkin' down the street, baby don't turn away.
I just wanna see your smilin' face lookin' my way.
And I never wanna see you go... See you go away.
