Lessa nearly choked on her sip of beer at his announcing he liked the Spotty one… umm… She wiped her mouth clean, and gaped at him… he’d lived in the country… and had no clue of horses.. oh boy… Immediately, Lessa kicked into her instructor mode.. “you’d have to be a little more… specific… I have several paints, and a full body spotted knabstrup…” She smirked, and didn’t wait for him to answer, just launched into explaining each of her horse’s coloring and patterns. “Double Jeopardy is the stallion you saw me leading out to paddock the day you first came out. He’s a full bodied black leopard… Which just means he has spots all over his body on a white base coat. Brave Heart is my Black paint stud… He’s black and white, he’s bulkier than Cloud Dancer, who is also a black and white paint. He’s also got more black on his neck ad chest than Cloud does.” She paused then, to take another sip of her beer, finishing it off. “Ribas is a light brown color, with a white wedge in the middle of her face, going from her her nose up to her forehead… it’s called a stripe, the white portion on her nose is called a snip. And Missy, Miss Know it All, is bay… which means she has the same brown body color as Reb, Ribas… but with a black mane, tail, and points…” She paused to take a breath and continued. “Points are ears, muzzle, and legs. I also have two youngsters away getting trained, they’re due back soon enough, so you’ll see even more Leopard spotted knabstruppers around the ranch.” Poor james… He’d definitely kicked her into instructor mode, and more than likely, she’d just overwhelmed him with information.
Clay couldn’t help but laugh at her response. “Sweety, you bite my ass, and I can’t guarantee I won’t like it.” Was he flirting? Maybe just a little… It all depended on if she bit his ass in coyote form, or human… because he seriously doubted he’d enjoy having her sharp canines dig into his ass.
