Laurie smiled, though it was still weak, as Toby thanked her. She knew how much the group of people meant to him, and it wasn’t right of her to demand he leave them after finding them after so long. Even if she’d rather be snuggled up at their house or somewhere alone right about now. ”I hope so, though the guys didn’t get all the heat you know.” It was a simple reminder that they’d all been hurt, even her, though she was long past holding htat against him. ”He’s hurting and acting out in the wrong way.” She knew this, had seen it many times in the kids at her school when she’d told them something they didn’t like. In truth he was acting like an adolescent instead of some forty-year-old…most of them were.
”Okay.” the worry evident as Toby detached and moved towards Memphis and Nancy, though Angelina motioned her over so she moved in that direction while Toby went the other way. A full blush forming at the brunette woman’s words, eyes lowering to the glass she had placed in front of her by Stan. ”Tonic, please.” Letting the woman pour the drink before she commented on her and Toby making up so quickly. ”I’m still sad for all we lost, but I can’t be mad at him Angelina. He was my first real love, still is.” The blush was so bright now one might think herself sunburned as she took a tiny, very tiny, sip of her Jin Tonic. ”I love him and…he loves me. That’s all matters.” Well it was all that mattered to her anyways. ”I need to call back the buyer about the truck. I won’t need to sell it now.” Crystal blue eyes begging Angelina not to mention her canceling the trip to Europe over this new turn of event. ”I think it’s going to be a rain check on the tickets…I well I think I can use them later.” She didn’t feel right saying she hoped to use them as a honeymoon trip, not now when the woman in front of her and so many others were still hurting. If she couldn’t use them later she’d just buy new ones. She had the cash flow for it, with the endorsements still coming in from the modeling gigs she’d down over last Fall.
Angelina’s comment about Memphis getting manners caused Laurie Ann to turn around and look, a gasp as she saw what was happening and Toby coming to interrupt. ”I hope they don’t start fighting.” She’d not be able to handle it if they did.
