11/20/03 Thanks to everyone who made our time in the Bay Area so much fun. A HUGE thank you to the bands, fans and friends we made over the past few days including Exodus, Sean Killian (Vio-lence), Dave & Lee (Heathen), Osmium, Concrete Coffin, Ron Quintana, Tom Christe and most of all ..... Harold O & Danny from RealtyCheck.com.
11/19/03 2 FAQ -While we have not interviewed Dave Mustaine yet, Megadeth will be a MAJOR part of the documentary. As a general rule, just because a band is not listed on the talent lineup does not mean we are overlooking them .... it simply means we have not interviewed them directly.
Also, GET THRASHED is scheduled to be completed in early 2004. When we confirm WHERE and WHEN it will air, we will make sure the word gets out. An expanded DVD version with tons of bonus footage is in the works for late 2004.
11/11/03 Heads up Bay area thrash fans! If you are going to be in the Bay area next Tuesday 11/18, we will be taping a performance by Bay area thrashers Concrete Coffin (concretecoffin.com) for the documentary. The show will be at The Stork Club (storkcluboakland.com) and begins around 7:30pm. (call the club for exact start time) Come on down .. say hello .. be a part of the taping .....
10/22/03 Kreator are the latest band to be added to the Get Thrashed lineup. Thanks to Mille Petrozza and thanks to all the fans we spoke to last night. It's great to meet you guys and get your thoughts and feedback. Soon to be added to the Get Thrashed lineup ....... Exodus!
9/20/03 Thanks to the guys in Viscid for bringing back some old school thrash metal .... they are the first unsigned band to be included in Get Thrashed. There are not many new bands out there playing the type of music Viscid plays so props to them.
9/10/03 Death Angel have been added to the lineup for Get Thrashed. Thanks to Don Hill's in NYC and to the Death Angel crew for an incredible show last night. Even more than putting on a great show, the guys were very cool, taking time out for their fans, interviews, pictures etc. Thanks again to Mike (tour mgr) and the entire band!
Thrash memorabilia: if you have, we're still looking. We especially need old photos (preferably that you shot) of Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Exodus. We're also looking for fan photos from back in the day ... you hanging out with friends outside the club, in your room, wherever ... just decked out and looking like a thrash fan!
8/29/03 First off, thanks to all of you who responded to our request for thrash memorabilia (see request below). If we did not get back to you, it is simply because we have been flooded with offers by thrash fans so we can only follow up on the fans whose items stand a good chance of being included in the documentary. That said, Thanks to everyone who e-mailed. Second thing is the question of why certain non-thrash bands are included in the show. No one is saying that all the bands we've interviewed are thrash bands. Some of them certainly are, while other bands are not thrash bands ....they are thrash fans who respect, admire and have been influenced by what the old school thrash bands have done. And finally, we are still shooting interviews for the documentary and hope to have several other big names from the scene involved in the piece. Inevitably, we will not be able to interview everyone we'd like to .... but we're trying!!
8/11/03 BE A PART OF THE DOCUMENTARY For you guys out there who would like to be part of the Get Thrashed documentary, now is your chance! We are looking for thrash fan memorabilia such as concert flyers, promo posters, old thrash magazine covers (ie: Metal Forces), classic ticket stubs & concert t-shirts, photos of you and or your friends in your best metal attire, photos of thrash artists etc. If you have anything along these lines that relates to the thrash scene, e-mail us at rick@getthrashed.com. If you need your stuff back, make sure you include your name, e-mail & mailing addresses, phone number you can be reached at and the articles you have that you want to contribute to the show. If we use your stuff you'll get to see it on air as well as see your name in the credits.
