OMG!! This is bad, I'll be over as soon as possible. For now, try to find all of the horses with runny noses as possible.I grabbed my vet kit & threw on my jacket.I raced down to my truck, & jumped in, starting it up.It took me 10 minutes to get to Dancing Meadow Stables.I parked my truck & got out, running up to the nearest stable.Shayla, Aaron & Kaylee were there.I ran over to where Shay was & said breathlessly, "I'm here." Shayla showed me some of the sick horses & I looked over them. Some of the infected horses were coughing, & were running fevers up to 106 F.Several had enlargede sub-mandibular lymph nodes.I told Shayla "I've gto some bad news.Your horses are showing symptoms of Equine Herpes Disease. The first thing we need to do is segregate your horses by age.isolate incoming horses for 2-3 weeks, burn the bedding of the infected horses, disinfect contaminated stable equipmet & clothing, & keep anyone handling the sick horses away from the healthy horses...
