Subject: I think Doggett's car hitting scene was inevitable...
In reply to: CW 's message, "I also liked the episode--felt like old times to me!" on 14:09:23 03/05/02 Tue

Mulder once got hit by a car where he rolled over the hood and tumbled to the ground so Doggett had to have it happen at least once. ;-)

I liked this too but it had some problems which have been brought up about the lack of investigating a crime scene. May be we are to assume that was done and Scully was cleared and we just didn't see it. NBut it's also plausible that this group would cover it up considering who was involved and what's going on.

OK I have to admit something, Me, oh non fan of Annabeth's Monica portrayals. I really liked the scene a lot with her and Scully looking at the writings on the floor. It was a difficult scene because they were talking about something pretty 'out there' and both actresses made it look believeable. Scully coming to terms in her own mind that she believed when all her good sense tells her she shouldn't. (I think I just quoted the movie "Miracle on 34th Street"!) And Monica just looking plain old stunned and it waws donewell. A lot of actors can look stupid reacting to Sci Fi type news.

I never even thought about border patrols from the north. We only hear about the southern border situation down here! Is it considered a big problem up there?

I do wonder why CC has this obsession with cults. Seems like every time there's alien stuff there's a cult involved.

I thought the scene with all the FBI bigwigs in the office staring at Scully looked an awful lot like those shots of the old syndicate standing around. Same kind of lighting and poses. That looked intentional. So what does that say? And what's with Skinner? He's acting weird. Since when would he keep info about Mulder from Scully, no matter how bad?

It's really too bad more people didn't give this show a chance because I'm starting to like the Doggett-Reyes team. They are now looking more like they belong down there in the basement. And I would have liked to see more of the Scully-Monica friendship develop but I guess GA was going to leave after this year regardless so that wouldn't matter if there'd been a season 10.

I think Frohike was indeed shot. (The idiots on the OS spikked the beans about that weeks ago). He'd better be all right or I'll be really mad! And William won't have his daddy! ;-D

I have a stupid question. Can someone please tell me what provenance means?

My sister called me right after this ep aired. Would you believe that even still she doesn't even entertain the idea that Mulder is William's father? I don't think that even makes her a Noromo. She must be an Unromo. Or a Disromo.
