Just like that, one shot and he's normal? I think Scully was the one who needed an injection. An Anti stupidity one. We've got her, Doggett and Reyes talking in the bedroom and they leave Messed Up Man out in the hall with access to William who is all alone!

I gotta admit they had me going on just who this guy was and what he wanted so that was interesting. I agree with everyone there's NO WAY Scully would give away Will unless she had a Sophie's Choice type decision and this wasn't it. And as for the paper trail, how about the fact that the adoption people told the couple his name was WILLAM?! How about a sign on their door, "Former alien kid lives here."

I did like DD's direction with this. There were some really nice touches like Scully fixing her shoe in the hallway and that odd shot of the three sitting on Scully's couch saying nothing. And the pencils! Yay! And I think the scene with her examining Spender closely was meant to be slightly erotic. She was actually thinking about kissing him. Ew! The fact that she would think for a second that that was Mulder was silly though. You could tell those weren't Mulder's eyes, wrong build, wrong height. Even Skinner noticed that. Just a guess but I'll bet DD wanted to put in a comment about how well Scully knew Mulder's body but CC would nix that for sure!

So Scully gives Will away based soley on what CSM's other son tells her? What a smart woman...not! And what will Mulder say? you gave my kid to WHO?" How does this protect Will? No offense to Doggett and Reyes but Scully should stop listening to them so much! They haven't been through all the stuff she has. They just don't know!

Does anyone remember the legend of the white buffalo from The Blessing Way? I'm reading that we see it at the end of this episode and one of William's mobile toys was a white buffalo. I didn't catch that.

I did like Scully singing 'William was a bullfrog' and I loved his little pointy hat! The end bit with the pan up to the stars and the song reminded me of the end of The Unnatural. Hmmm. Should we glean any particular meaning from Michael Row the Boat Ashore?
