 That September cruise was for schools from around the Moray Firth. I was at Dingwall Academy, and also made friend with Iverness Royal Academy pupils. I too remember the wonderful Beatles music, and Mary Hopkin, at the discos. And how warm it was (unlike the Highlands) and the heat and colours of the trip to Granada. And the sights and smells of Tetouan, and the teachers warning us not to buy the stuffed toy camels! It all made a huge impression on me, and funnily enough I have been going to southern Spain a lot in recent years, and have also been back to Tetouan. So the cruise really did have a real, positive impact on my life.
