 I remember very well the cruise. I was from a school in Ramsgate and had never been abroad before. I can still feel what it was like to be let loose in Arabic cities as a fourteen year old girl! Although us girls had to be assigned a boy to be chaperone after some trouble of men pestering.
I so enjoyed a trip to see where the grapefruits were picked and have still never had one as sweet as the ones we were given.
Rhodes had a great effect on me. In fact the whole trip did and I have traveled a great deal since. I loved it.
