 I remember it well. Especially - like so many others - the concert in St Michael's Cave. We did Parry's Blest Pair of Sirens, and Borodin's Polovtsian Dances.
There were some interesting musicians with us; Gervase de Peyer, John Manduell, William Glock if I remember rightly. I remember the group from Aberdeen - there was a cellist called Boris we nicknamed Backdeskovitch. I bought a bottle of Glenfiddich and some Brut after-shave, which bizarrely I still have - the whisky went a long time ago. (It evaporates quickly....) The chorus master was our head of music at Hendon County, Charles Western. Great memories.
