 I did not go on this Cruise but my father, a schoolmaster, was one of the leaders of a party from City of Leicester boys Grammar school so I heard all about this cruise when he and the party got back. I went on the SS UGANDA cruise in 1972 and we visited NAPLES (Pompeii), TUNISIA (Bizerta, Tunis, Carthage, Sidi Bou Said), IZMIR (Ephesus), KOS island, PIRAEUS (Athens) and ended in VENICE. I can remember this cruise very well and still have my post card albums. I have revisited Naples, Venice, Tunisia (twice) and Piraeus briefly when the 'plane I was returning to England from a holiday in Kenya in 1988 was forced to lans at Athens Airport after an engine broke down in mid flight over the Mediterranean. IN FACT, I have now visited on seperate occasions ALL the places you went to on that 1968 Cruise.
