 As 3rd Engineer Officer, I sailed on Uganda for almost two years (1956 - 1958) when she was running between London and Beira in Mozambique. I am a little surprised that all of your correspondents appear to be school cruise passengers with the exception of one Electrical Officer. Does this site have any affiliation with the BIship website? I have many memories of this happy ship and was saddened to hear that she finally ended her days on her side ashore in China. I'm sure that there are quite a few of us left that could add their experiences to this site. Anyway, nice to have discovered you.
