 Hello Andrew, finally a fellow shipmate! I was around 12 at the time - an American from Kirn Primary -my dad was stationed at the Navy base in Dunoon. Our group didn't stay in the dorms but in the regular passenger cabins due to ship overbooking-so different experience than most. Rough trip across the Bay of Biscay-same experience as most! The fish market in Oporto- hot bageuettes in LaRochelle and glass bottom boats through the canals of Amsterdam. James Bond Diamonds are Forever was the film. Green makeup that wouldn't come off for the costume contest parade. Wish I still had my old log book! What else do you remember?
