Last night me a my best school pal got to reminiscing about the uganda and were both surprised to find out neither of us had gone onto the net to see what was around! So here we are! I was on the Baltic 1979 and the "med" (not quite!) in 81. How lucky was I?!!
It was great though we were a bit like cargo I suppose. I recall a very good quip from a classmate replying to a snooty passenger as follows as we strayed out of bounds!

Passeneger " you're not supposed to be here- this is for paying passengers"
Sandra(!) "what do you think we are....cargo!"

I actually was a very sad schoolboy and wrote a daily diary which I actually still have. Amongst the "interesting items it says what the music was we were wakened with each morning. Imagine my horror as a 15 year old waking up on the first morning to "Yes Sir I can boogie! by Baccarra!!
Good times indeed. Has the ship been scrapped completely and dismantled. I'd love to get on it again.
