 we departed in march or april 1981 on a laker airways dc-10 flight which was delayed by 24 hours due to air traffic flight and flew to split in yugoslavia.i remember it was a warm sunny day and we arrived at the port and saw the ship sitting there.the boys were sent to mallory dorm and we had a bunks susspended on chains.i think the food was quite bad but we were on an adventure of a lifetime we departed split for athens-haifa-alexandria-and ended up in venice on our last day.we were stopping in cypress but due to bad weather we continued to haifa in israel.the trip was one i will remember for ever and as a direct result i have travelled much of the world.
