 Whilst I was a pupil at Dyffryn Comprehensive school in Port Talbot during the early to mid seventies I was lucky enough to have two "educational" trips on the Uganda.

As the passing of time has made it difficult for me to pin down the exact dates and itineries I was wondering if anyone could help to jog my memory.

As far as I can remember the schedule of the trips was firstly, Swansea, Lisbon, Casablanca, Canary Islands and Gibraltar, which I believe was in 1973.

The second trip, which I think was in 1974 (or possibly 1975), started with a flight to Dubrovnik and then, not necessarily in this order, on to Athens, Izmir, Beirut, (supposed to go to Cyprus but didn't and can't remember why, possibly the Turkish invasion of northern Cyprus?) then Santorini and finishing at Malta for a flight back to the UK.

I have fond memories of the time I spent and the people I met on the Uganda, and the trips were truly educational, although not necessarily in the way they were intended to be!

It was a fantastic experience for a teenager to have and if anyone out there can help me pin down the dates involved I would be grateful.
