 Luckily got to go on two consecutive year's cruises, one of which was the unfortunate Falklands disembarkation.

After 27 years, I've still got the coffee mug I bought in the gift shop on the last day sitting in my kitchen.

Never forget the smell of the kitchens - doubly bad when you feel sea sick, plus that unfortunate day of huge swells when some poor girl was ill over the side and someone even more unfortunate caught it on the deck below. Strange the memories that stick in the mind.

Great times. It opened my eye up to the world. I wouldn't dream of letting my kids go bargain hunting on their own in a bazarre in Alexandria today, but it sure was fun at the time.

Oh to do it all again.
