 We had been due to go on a Summer cruise on the Nevassa, but she was pulled out of service Christmas 74. Our school - Gosford Hill - was lucky to get places on the Black Sea cruise. I remember it most because it was my first time away from home. I loved every minute of it! Who can forget the stones rattling down the pipes first thing in the morning, the hands that grabbed the trays in the canteen, the last night disco and the last morning - 'Leaving On a Jet Plane' by Peter Paul and Mary (I think!). Be interested to hear from anyone else who was on that Cruise! One more fantastic memory - Dolphins swimming alongside the ship as we left the Black Sea for the Aegean! Pure magic!
