 HI ALL, I SAILED ON THE UGANDA IN FEB.1981. AS A SEACADET FROM SOUTH WALES.I WAS WITH A FRIEND NAMED JEFFREY JONES WHO SADLY GOT KILLED IN A CAR ACCIDENT IN '85. I WORKED OR HELPED OUT IN THE GALLEY AND WAS ACCOMADATED IN THE 'GRENFEL'DORM. WITH A FEW LADS (ALL SEACADETS) ,2 FROM RUNCORN, CHESIRE.ONE'S SURNAME WAS FORD,BOB FROM SAILSBURY ANOTHER WAS FROM CAMBLETOWN IN SCOTLAND. GOT VERY FRIENDLY WITH GIRLS FROM ALL OVER THE UK..
SARAH & CAROLINE FROM ST. HELIER,JERSEY, CAROLYN HORNE FROM PRESTON PANS EAST LOTHIAN.FIONA&PAULA FROM GATWICK?
ANY WAY WE SAILED FROM MALTA ONTO ALEXANDRIA,CAIRO,GREEK ISLANDS? AND ONTO SPLIT YUGOSLAVIA WHERE WE FLEW HOME.
THE PRESON IN CHARGE OF THE 'KIDS' WE ONLY KNEW AS ACTION MAN DUE TO HIS SIZE ALTHOUGH HE WAS ONLY ABOUT 5FT.5IN TALL
