Does anyone remember this cruise in 1974?
SS Uganda sailed from Liverpool to Santander, Ceuta, Gibraltar and Vigo- we were suposed to go to Casablanca but a cholera outbreak put paid to that.It was a 10 day cruise and we (the school children ) were all part of choirs- SATB, SSA, and orchestras and gave concerts on the ship and in the caves in Gibraltar- it was a fantastic experience- Vigo and also in Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on our return. It was my second trip abroad and an amazing experience I shall never forget. I fell in love with cruising and listening to music whilst looking out to sea. Unfortunately I had to wait 29 years before I would go on another cruise and have now been on several more!
