I sailed from Dundee on board the SS. Uganda in June 1973 along with my classmates from Morgan Academy Dundee. I became a ship's prefect and I recall I may have been in Forbes dormitory , but could be wrong!

Our ports of call in the Baltic were Copenhagen, Stockholm, Travemunde and Gdansk. from whereI gained a pen-friend. It was the days before the Iron Curtain fell and i remember security being very tight.

It was a fantastic opportunity for a 15 year old and must have been a lot of money for my parents in 1973.
