I was on the same cruise, I remember it because I was particularly keen to float in the dead sea, and as you say we never got there because it snowed.

I remember I loved Pompei, and Rhodes, and was disappointed that the pyramids were so close to town and not out in the middle of a desert like I'd imagined! I remember some of the boys playing cards using smarties as money, and how I missed the sound of the waves lapping against the side of the ship as I dropped off to sleep once we were back home. I also remember being taken round a museum in Egypt and feeling as if the ground was moving because we had got used to the roll of the boat on the waves.

It was a lovely trip, and we were very lucky to have the opportunity.
