I was fortunate to sail on the Uganda in January of 1978...I think. We flew from Gatwick to Athens and visited Bodrum in Turkey and then sailed into Haifa. I remember visiting Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Such an amazing country. We ended up in Malta where we flew back to Gatwick. I was at Turves Green Girls School. I remember a fancy dress thing that we all joined in with because it enabled us to go onto the areas where the teachers stayed. Happy memories.
