I was an Electrical Officer on board in 1985 after the conflict ferrying troops between the Falklands and Ascension. My memories centre on the dire state of the ship in those rough seas. My cabin floor was always wet with seawater,there were concerns about the amount of fresh water we had on board ... evap problems,I think, and the generators were in a very poor shape too. The food was bloody awful but it was a truly memorable experience!
