Sounds like the cruise I went on whilst I was attending Diss secondary modern School for Girls. If I remember correctly we left from Tilbury then went to Lubeck in Germany, Copenhagan, Stockholm and
Russia. Another cruise we went on we went to Cadiz, Gibraltar, where we didn't know if we were going to be allowed off because it was at the time was wanting to claim her back, and Palma. The other one I was fortunate to go on we flew out to Naples, then travelled to Florence and Piza, then cruising to Athens , Kos and Istanbul. One of the trips was taken on Nevas and the other two on Uganda. I have lovely memories and would love to hear from anyone who went on them. I remember a girl called Lizzy Rowland, a lad called Roger Hewish, another called Steve Roper aka Steve Stringer, Robert from Bungay grammar school, I think, ( he was gorgeous, he had a deaf friend called Barry and some teenagers from Gaywood in Kings lynn on the trip in January 1971. Who could forget the discos playing sugar, sugar, snogging competitions in the cinemas oh and a few lessons, yawn! Brilliant! Lovely to reminisce as I am nearing 60 - where have all those years gone!
