 Reading all these posts has brought back some wonderful but faded memories. I flew with a group of high school chums from Toronto to Gatwick, thence on an aging Dan Air Comet to Naples where a group of us boarded the Uganda. A long trip with little sleep, but so exciting for a kid who'd never been on a plane nor even out of Northern Ontario. Got quite nauseas almost as soon as we cleared the harbour. The food was awful. The accommodations were Spartan and crowded, (Stanhope) but what a great time we all had! Visited Pompei, Malta, Rhodes, Athens, Corinth, Dubrovnik and Venice. Still have a box full of souvenirs from that trip. I'd love to hear from anyone else who was on that cruise.
