Hello,
I find it sad the number of pitts in shelters. I too volunter at my local shelter but where I'm at the story is much worse because this shelter WILL NOT adopt out ANY "pitts" (though they do occasionally 'rename' a dog to another breed) But to make matters worse our town has strict "pitbull" ordances, you CAN have them but the rules attached to ownership are harsh so our shelter receives literally hundreds of pitts a year for on "ordance violations" many of these dogs are in the end put down do to NO fault of their own!!!

On another note though I wanted to ask you a personal favor I am trying DESPARTLY to relocate my beloved Petey!
He is a Black and white american Strafordshire appox. 3 years old. I can send you a picture if need be. I was hoping maybe you could "keep an eye out" for him at your shelter.
I would truely appreciate this. When I had him he was a VERY good dog, good with kids and ALL animals. I am a lover of these misunderstood dogs and wish I could help find homes for all of them but I'm unable to adopt every one (belive me I WOULD if I Could!!! However IF my Petey is ever found "ordinaces" or not I WOULD bring him HOME!!! sincerly, sheri
