Subject: Bad sports

I wanted you guys to know that I appreciated having a chance to be in your contest and tell you a few funny stories - like my son riding his mattress down the staircase and playing Taboo with friends and embarrassing myself with "It's the stuff you put on the hair above the balls that look!" (Mascara) I had fun making my tape, even though I didn't get picked for round two.

There seems to be some disgruntled contestants that are all ticked off because they didn't move forward. Austin is an entertainment town. There are so many talented people in this area. I used to do stand-up and I was amazed at how many funny people there were here in Austin. If they didn't make it to round two, it doesn't mean they aren't funny, maybe in some cases it does, but most likely they didn't "click" with you guys. You can meet people and for some reason you're drawn to certain ones and their sense of humor more than others. It isn't personal, it's just the way things are.

I hope your listeners will continue to listen and lighten up. Everyone knew from the beginning that only one person would win. The bad sports that didn't make it to round two sound like people you wouldn't have wanted to work with anyway. Life is too short to take everything so seriously!

Peace out,

Terrie
