79 JD Spitfire seat needed ? -- Joe (stumped), 11:03:27 01/22/13 Tue

Hi , I've picked up a 79 John Deer Spitfire sled ,is in good shape but the seat is toast!
I love these old sleds and this was my first sled when I was a kid , this is also going to be my first restoration.
I took off the seat and noticed that it is a moulded seat with the rotted wood and seat skin all glued together as one piece!
I stumbled on to this site and thought I could tap into some knowledge and hopefully get some advice .
How does one go about getting a seat , I'm sure they don't make them any more do they , also I want to rebuild one of the two motors I got with the deal where do I go to get parts , is there any John Deer enthusiasts out there that can help me , any advice would be much appreciated ;-)?

I have a Wahl cleat track on ok condition. It`s a 15x121 with many stud and hooker. Need work on stud. Asking 150$
Also Wahl suspension for cleat track 116 inch plus Kalamazoo track with stud. Rbber band in excellente condition but need to replace 3 cleat. Many stud comme with. The suspension need a clean up but it usable. Asking 400$ for both.
Many Polaris secondary cam(11) and 1 complete secondary with roller plus parts. Asking 100$ for all.
Possible to ship by bus for 75$ or less.

Hey Darryl - I need a new Hi needle out of the carb (would buy the entire carb actually) and the bogey and rod that runs directly under the gas tank and exhaust pipes. For now.... :)

74 Astro Jet -- R.T. COBRA, 10:07:10 01/14/13 Mon

Hello---I have a 74 Astro Jet which I've had since 76. The front drive cogs used to be aluminum castings with a thick nylon coating on the teeth. Many years ago I replaced them with cogs which have the heavy rubber teeth--the same as the rear cogs. Now I'm at a stand still trying to get another pair. They slide on to a hex axle which measures 9/16 across the flats(some axles are 5/8). The collars are drilled for 2 bolts which lock the cog to the axle. I need help with locating a set of cogs with a lot of life in them. Thanks!!

Looking For a Particular 1970 Snow Cruiser 2000 (Ontario/Quebec) -- Andre Joly, 14:00:38 01/10/13 Thu

Hello Gentlemen,

I'm looking for a particular machine that was sold from Dunrobin to a man in western Quebec around year 2000.

The machine is what I believe to be a 1970 model Snow Cruiser 2000. I was purchased new by my grandfather, then handed down to my father and subsequently handed down to me when I was quite young.

Being young and foolish I sold it in my teenage years to purchase a then modern Polaris Indy 440. If it's somewhere out there I'd love to find it and purchase it back.

When sold it was in immaculate shape, it had been garage kept its entire life, and was almost entirely original. Numbers on the side of the hood were in gold and read 113366 (see picture above)

Unfortunatley it was sold before the days of the internet and I don't have any old e-mails or contact information to go on - this is a total shot in the dark.

Any help or knowledge of the machine would be appreciated.
