1971 T'NT 440 Project Sled -- Richard, 19:14:42 09/27/09 Sun

[b]1971 Ski-Doo T'NT 440 w/ Slider Suspension[/b]
Sled sat out in the elements for a LONG time, and the details will reflect that...that being said, I think it's a solid start to a project...
Details:
- no seat
- solid hood/windshield; spiders, and paint wearing thin in spots...one small crack between the hinges
- chrome bumper pretty good
- solid skis
- motor turns freely, with compression; no spark (have not tried anything other than new plugs); recoil is off...I tried to rebuild it, but it was just too rusty
- chassis not bad; a few holes on seat pan, and in the left footwell
- track looks pretty solid (hard to be sure, with all of the dried muck), and turns freely
- slider suspension looks good
- very nice snow flap
- all electrical stuff looks intact and has not been hacked up
- muffler is rotten[b]...BUT, I now have a solid replacement[/b]
- gas tank is typically well cracked on the top

Metcalfe Fair Vintage Sled Show -- Rick (Sunday Oct. 4, 2009 10am to 3pm), 17:36:45 09/25/09 Fri

Osgoode Carleton Snowmobile Trail Club is hosting a Vintage Sled Show at the Metcalfe Fair. Free pass to the fair to each exhibitor. There is lots of room to unload trailers and to park on site, please try to arrive before 10am at the south gate. AJ's Catering of Metcalfe has donated 25 hot breakfast to the Vintage Show. They are set up on the fair grounds and will serve breakfast from 8am to 10am. I will hand out one free breakfast pass to the first 25 exhibitors that sign in.

Just want to say thanks to the 800 people in attendance who came to expo sno 2009 ( sept 26, 2009 ) in st eustache, quebec, just north of montreal yesterday. Also want to say thanks to the amazing 140 vendors that were selling rare parts for making it a great day.

We had people from 6 us states visiting the show and we are thrilled that you came such a long way to share the day with us. We also want to thank people who came from great distances in canada to make it a great day for us. It was a well rounded crowd from the usa and canada.

There were plenty of rare sleds on display and a ton of parts.

We hope to see you next year.

1970 Ski-doo 340 T'NT Blackdot For Sale

Hood is very good
Windshield is OK.
Chassis solid, but needs a good cleaning. Belly fairly straight and solid.
Bumper and bars rusty
Seat original, maybe saveable, but likely need re-covered (quite stiff).
Motor loose and strong spark.
Carb needs thorough going over.
Track is decent.
Good skis
Tach and Speedo in place.

Asking $1,800.

Sold on a first come with $$$, first serve basis. Will not hold this sled unless $$$ are in hand.

No track kickers please.

Most likely a parts sled. Motor is loose and rolls over. Hood and plastic belly are shot. No seat on it. Skis are rusty. Track shot.

FOR SALE Head and cylinder for 1970 Blizzard 340 single f/a. Not perfect as there are some broken fins. Currently 0.040" over, but I will have new sleeves ready by late Sept (not included, but the buyer gets a deal on one). If you already have a 60,80,100, or 120 over piston, you will not need the sleeve. The price is $500
