I would be sorry to see this site closed down. The only other site accesible for Paradise members to communicate with each other is clcmembers.co.uk.The problem here is that it the majority of people are CLC points.Obviously, there are differnr views and opinions than those of fixed week owners. Can I ask what are the reasons for closing down the site?
Gary.

Like Gary, I would be sorry to see the forum close. I think the site is useful but at the moment doesn't seem to get the number of hits it used to.

If you do close it, would it be useful to transfer / point people to the timesharetalk site which has sections for resorts on it? I know that another site transferred to it and that seems to have been an easy transition.

Hope that helps.

It would be a shame to close it, but it will only work if all members were fixed weeks and not points. I get the feeling that those on points do not have the same commitment to Paradise La Costa, in trying to get improvements, and have some leverage with the "Management".

hi Having been a regular on your site for the last few years i like others would feel this to be a loss to the loyal owners that are left at the club but if i'm honest i would have to admit that the number of replies we get on the forum now are virtually none. Is this as has been said preiviously' a result of people converting to points or that not enough owners are aware the site even is here for there benefit.
I hope you keep site on as i will continue to plug it when in resort as i allways do

well have to agree at the end of the day,its all a bit of a waste of time, when you can rent a good apartment near the front same size for £200 per week, why would you pay £400 a week to climb that hill.I have had enough.gona have two weeks for the cost of one, At what used to be paradise sadly now owned by parasites.

PLEASE DONT. I KNOW NOT AS MANY PEOPLE USE IT. I HAVE BEEN A FIXED WEEK MEMBER SINCE 1993 NOW LAST YEAR CHANGED TO POINTS. I STILL USE THIS SITE , PUT FORWARD VIEWS ETC AND WOULD HATE TO SEE IT GO. ITS VERY USEFUL. I CAME BACK FROM TENERIFE FRIDAY AND NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THE SITE ADDRESS, I PASSED IT ON TO QUITE A FEW . AND CHOOSE WHAT I ALWAYS SEE MYSELF AS A FIXED WEEK VIEW OF WHAT HAPPENS. CHANGED BUT STILL THE SAME

Sadly, this site is not nearly as active as it used to be and this is obviously due to the growing body of owners either getting out or transferring to points. I think it would probably be sensible to close the site down and for folk to use the CLC members site which is far more active now and does cater for weeks owners as well as points members. It is also useful to gain insight into the activities of CLC that do not refer directly to Paradise or Monterey. If the decision is to close down the site, my thanks for all the valuable info and opportunity to express views over the years.

club la costa members site is not as good as this as they want to know all in and outs of your purchase before you can see everything . this is private and dont always want to disclose these things on net. dont know who is looking. please keep this site going but let it be known to members. i am points member since last year but still love your site. thing thats wrong not many people know the web address.

>Like the others who have recorded views I would be sorry to see the site go.I always find the CLC members site somewhat cumbersome. However at the end of the day 10 replies in a fortnight hardly signifies vehement opposition to your suggestion.
I just get the feeling that CLC have won and with a fairly apathetic membership and pathetic committee perhaps its no wonder.
There is little if any value in ownership of either timeshare or points these days with as one member has already recorded accommodation privately owned at the PC renting for as little as £200 per week.

That would be a shame. The site I run at www.montereyowners.com links to here and but I would be more than happy to start a section devoted to Paradise if required.

I would be sorry to see the site close down as I have found it useful over the years, but it doesn't appear to have as many visitors as it used to have. If you feel that is what you would really like to do then the suggestion for people to use the Timeshare Talk website seems a good one.

More owners should put thier views on this site, no point in just reading comments. Keep it going please it is very useful.
PS looked for www.montereyowners.com but cannot find it.

Hi

Just wondering if you've reached a decision yet on whether to close the forum down?

Hi Splot,

I will be letting the Web site go as I have spent enough money keeping it going these past few years.
The Forum should stay, as it is a stand alone item.

I think it would be such a shame for this site to close I think CLC must be rubbing there hands at the thought that this website may close and they are nearer the there goal getting owners to convert to points not me they can take a running jump.
we could do with a way of getting this website better know to owners.
