Can anyone confirm that if I sell my 1 bed unit privately all I have to do is complete the form on the back of the original registration certificate & send it off to the Isle of Man, who presumably then issue a new certificate in the new owners name. Does anybody know the cost? No way am I going to hand it over free to CLC. What I have been considering is donating it to a charity or association, probably one associated with the rehabilitation of young [or old] offenders. That way they could take at least 4 hoodlums in a 1 bed unit & with a bit of luck they may get next door to a member of our so called Management Committee.

the price for transfer of ownership was quoted earlier this year at 199 pounds but have recently seen a figure of 399 pounds posted on the clcmembers website.

I enquired a few weeks ago and was told that if you were selling privately you just needed to complete the back of the registration certificate and send it with a letter from yourself confirming you are selling it to whoever and a letter from them confirming they are buying it. You send a cheque for £199 to cover the transfer fee. I have read though, that others have been told it is £399, but I checked after reading someone had been told this and they informed me it was £199, so you would need to contact them to find out definitely.

You send it to the Club la Costa address in Spain.
