It's the other way around, CLC need the money from the homes to build new timeshares. Quicker way to get money than from the sale of timeshare. The high maintenance fees are just CLCs way of getting owners to a) give up their timeshare giving CLC more inventory or b) get owners to change to points (in the process giving up their timeshare and giving CLC more inventory). Buying points is the worst thing you can do, you pay more money for what you already have... but with no guarantee of actually getting any accommodation.

lets hope there will be a good turnout at the AGM so we can see where our money is going
