Thanks Jim. Yup I was told that a simple (?) cap and coil setup would work. I'm not much into electronics, so I can't comment on the component values, but it seems to be rather simple to actually make. Putting the filter in-line with the headphone jack simplifies things and allows the filter to be easily turned off and on. It would probably be fairly easy For someone in the know) to incorporate a blast limiter into the setup. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. ..Willy.
