by Fisher that most people are making the mistake of trying to run the sensitivity too high. I was told that a 120+ grainer was found at 8" with the sensitivity at "2" here in the U.S. It was suggested that I keep the sensitivity at 2 or 3 and run the threshold at -5 to -10. I'll be taking one out of the box on Friday and a friend that just got back from 3 months in AZ and I will be doing some comparisons with his GP Extreme.

Jim, like you, I've been watching the video over and over trying to "master" that much anyway. Between what the video and the manual says, if this will really do the things that are mentioned, it should be a good machine. The advantage I've got is that I'm a neophyte when it comes to nugget hunting and prospecting in general, so I don't have any preconceived opinions or prior experience to affect my thinking. Like I've seen on this forum in other posts, it may work best for someone like me. I guess only field time will really tell. I know when I go to use a different machine than the one I've used for the last 6 or 7 years, it's hard not to be skeptical about the new machine. Only true experience using it and learning it will reveal all of it's good and bad points. Let's hope this one is a winner.

Otto...
