HI Elizabeth

So sorry to hear about your friend passing away. That is so very sad. I have lost so close friends over the years, one that I was at school with, and I know how hard it is to understand.

I used to watch Crossing Over with John Edward and the phrase he used to close his show with I always thought to be very true. He always said to communicate, appeciate and validate those that are with you everyday, so that you don't need to go someone like him to do this for you. He also said that if you hear a song that reminds you of that person, then to say hi to that person. That may sound funny but to be honest it does happen. I lost my friend Joe back in 2002 to cancer. He was only 36 when he died and both my husband and I had been to school with him. Later that year we were on vacation in Florida, which was a vacation that Joe and his wife were supposed to join us on. We went into a guitar shop, as my husband is a guitarist, and when we went in we heard a 12 year old kid playing a song called 'Alternative Ulster'. This was Joe's favourite song and one that he would always play if he went to a guitar shop. We just looked at each other and just said together 'Hi Joe' and for the rest of the vacation we felt him with us.

I hope that this helps you.

Love
