It is because we have rights that the benefit of the doubt, concerning it's humanity should be given to the fetus.
Having an abortion is like tossing a hand grenade into a room without being able to see if there's anyone in it. You can assume the place is empty, but since you have no idea one way or the other, you must assume that the grenade will kill someone if you throw it. To assume otherwise is irresponsible.
