Hi Ya'll
Does anyone regular dye their fabrics, laces, trims, etc? I am lookin to learn to dye all of these items to match the same color. I'm making my girl's pageant dresses and outfits to save money, but can't seem to be able to find a way to dye everything to it matches nicely like the professional dress makers. Someone said use acrylic paint, but I tried and it didn't turn out too well. If anyone knows a good process that actually works, please post!
Thank you

hi, use apple barrel & textile mediaum,I put it in bowl mix it up really good together I use fingers, then add a tiny bit of water & mix, keep doing this until you have desired color, use a pc. of cloth to mix it up & wipe the bottom as you mix, this cloth will collect any clumps of paint that didnt mix right, do it again just to make sure, it usually takes me 2 times, then soak trim until desired color, if you get a darker spot on trim, rub w/fingers to blend, then dry in dryer or hang overnight, beware dryer does turn colors but it doesnt go on other clothes
