I'm trying to do a fabric pull across the bust area on a bodice with the pull gathered in the center. Can anyone share their technique on how to achieve this? I've tried a few different things and it just doesn't look perfect.

Thanks!

I usually start in the center with neatly folded pleats, tack those in, then work to the outside pinning my pleats in place as I go. After I'm happy with the pattern of the pleats, I baste along the outside edges then trim off the excess fabric.

Thank you so much for the info and help. This is my first attempt at making both from scratch. I've altered several so hopefully this won't be too difficult.
