Hi. I have read here for a while but am new to the pageant scene and just learning about building dresses. I have noticed that on several ebay listings they state "kept in a plastic container". Why is this necessary? I have made several dresses for my 1 year old and want to be sure to "keep" them properly.

Thanks!!

Hi,

I keep my daughters in a plastic tote for several reasons. To me I can lay the skirt fanned out and it seems to keep the shape better. I found that with our first dress, hanging it seemed to relax the skirt. Next it keeps the stones from being rubbed against anything else hanging in the closet and that way the don't fall off. Then last I already have it packed in the tote and it's one less thing to worry about packing to go to a pageant. Plus it's easy to carry. Hope that helps!

You can also put your girls socks, panties, hairbows, accessories all in a little ziplock bag and store them in the same container, keeping all of the ensemble together, eliminating lost items.
