That is so wonderful, Cari!
I can only dream of doing the things you've done for real.
Congratulations!!!!!!!
My capabilities are purely non-professional. I have designed
my kitchen remodel after I was told what I wanted couldn't be done. I took the cabinet dimensions & made it work myself. Hubby & I did all the work ourselves. I then proceeded to design a massive addition to our home. I call what we did the "while we're at it" project. Started out with a simple bump-out plan to include a passive solar sun
room but became something else entirely. We do have the sun room but we also put a basement under the existing house! We blew out the back of the house to have a master suite AND we raised the roof to have an upstairs. What started out as a 2 bedroom, 1 bath home is now a 4-5 bedroom, story & a half, with 2 1/2 baths. The only thing we contracted out for was the digging of the basement, otherwise we did all work ourselves. We did live in what was left of the house during the entire process. My hubby's happy that this all happened 20 years ago before the computer, he fears what I'd have thought of.
More recently, this past winter, I designed the garage we built at our winter home in NC. Hubby is aware that I've designed an addition for that home, too. Think the thought of it makes him tired. :)
